DIY: Reviving Dried Out Products

This was a concept EnKore came up with and this is how I did it myself!

Today (actually, this was done weeks ago!), we're reviving two products: L'Oreal HIP cream liner and a MAC Shadestick in Beige-ing.

First, the liner...

Mine wasn't SUPER dried out, but dry enough that I couldn't use it anymore.

What you need:
  1. The liner
  2. A face primer with silicone (I used my Smashbox, didn't end up needing the other).
  3. Glycerin (MAC Fix+)
  4. Microwave (or hairdryer, as Enkore uses)

The Process:

Squirt some face primer in your liner.

Mix it around very well and add a squirt or two of Fix+.  Then microwave this for a few seconds to combine everything.

After it's microwaved, tap it on a table to smooth it out.  Then I took a flat eyeliner brush and smoothed it out.

Yall may have noticed, but I've been using this liner again in looks quite often, so my liner - weeks later! - is still working like a dream!

*********************************************

Next item - the shadestick.

There was a crack in my lid and my shadestick was completely dried out.

You need the same things for this one too... again, I used my Smashbox primer and not the other one.  Also, I put this in a jar instead of a stick... lol.

The process is the exact same as the one above, but here are the pictures anyway!

What happened to my url?  lol  Anyway, crumble it up!

Add the primer and the Fix+ and microwave.

I smashed mine to one side so it would be easier to put my finger in, if that's what I choose to do!

This is after it dried over night (with the lid on of course!).  You can see the color is back to the original.
